🔼 Multi-Wins. The swim and dive team took down James Madison 181.5-118.5 and had three multi-event winners. Emilee Hamblin won the 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle, Kaylee Hamblin won the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and Heidi Bruining won the 200 free and 200 individual medley.

🔼 Champs. We hope you were able to see the men’s and women’s cross country 2023 American Athletic Conference Championships this past weekend at Overton’s Lake Kristi. If not, here’s the rundown. The women finished in seventh place, and the fastest runner was Alyssa Zack, who landed in 25th place. The men finished in ninth, and Colin McCauley led the Pirates, finishing in 49th place.

We like our Brew hot n’ fresh. But we’re not opposed to you reheating your cup. Here’s some news you may have missed recently…

🏴‍☠️ Fell Short. The Pirates had a strong start against UTSA but weren’t able to keep up with the Roadrunner's pace and lost 41-27. In the first half, we scored 20 points after Jaylon Johnson caught a 13-yard pass, Dontavious Nash had a 36-yard interception, and Andrew Conrad kicked two field goals. The Pirates ended the game with Chase Sowell catching a four-yard pass for a touchdown.
