🔼 New Pirate. The men’s basketball team welcomes Jayshayne Woodard to the 2024-25 roster! Woodard recently played at Indian River State College in Florida. He was tabbed the FCSAA/Region Eight Player of the Year in both of his seasons with the Pioneers. Woodard earned Player of the Week for the region seven times. He averaged 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game last season and shot 51.4% from the floor.

🔼 All Wrapped Up. The baseball team wrapped up its season in the Greenville Regional. The Pirates took on Evansville in the championship game of the Regional and lost 6-5. This was the fifth straight season ECU reached the regional finals. Jacob Jenkins-Cowart had one hit, which tied up the game. Ryley Johnson led the team, going 2-for-5 at the plate and scoring twice.

🏴‍☠️ Still Playing. The United Football League is in season, and former Pirate Isaiah Winstead is making plays. Winstead is a wide receiver on the Arlington Renegades. So far this season, he has 175 yards, 12 receptions and two touchdowns.

He is ranked 39th in the league for his reception yards. He is tied for 19th place in the league with his two receiving touchdowns.
